Three Ideal Places for Wedding in New York
For a lot of people, a wedding is a fulfillment of a dream and a lifelong thing. A very important decision to make regarding your wedding is the selection of the perfect venue for the wedding. And, when we consider New York, there are hundreds of beautiful venues for a wedding. You need to ensure that you have the perfect place to celebrate your New York wedding just the way you dreamt it, irrespective of whether you want to have an outdoor feast for 20 or a formal meal for 200. After extensive research, we have narrowed it down to three locations that would leave you stunned and make your wedding perfect.
1. The Foundry: Located in Long Island, Queens, this 19th-century metal foundry has now been restored into a spectacular venue while retaining its industrial character. The dramatic contrast of modern steel railings and old exposed brick makes the location apt for a variety of events, ranging from corporate events and photo shoots to performances and more importantly the stylish New York weddings. Further, the fabulous proportions of the venue make it possible to have approximately 125 guests for a formal sit-down meal, 160 in outdoor tent sets, and about 200 guests for an elegant cocktail party.
2.The Central Park Boathouse:Since Central Park and New York are synonymous, it’s not surprising that this is our second choice for a perfect New York wedding venue. At the northeastern tip of the lake, you’ll find the well-known Loeb Boathouse. Here, while enjoying an excellent wedding party, you will get to witness Mother Nature spinning her magic across the park and see ducks and swans coming right up to the restaurant’s deck. Depending on the season, the restaurant can cater to about 80 to 165 guests. However, if you opt for dancing and a seated dinner, the restaurant can serve up to 230 people.
3. The Lighthouse: If you have dreamt of a New York wedding overlooking the Hudson River, you should consider The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. From the lovely floor-to-ceiling windows at the venue, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the river. Although a wedding here may strain your pockets a bit, it’ll be a wedding that your guests won’t forget for a long time. At this venue, you can have a sit-down dinner for anywhere between 100 and 700 guests and a formal reception for a thousand.
